The short version

  • Browsing this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads or tracking scripts.
  • If you ask for a call back, we collect what you type (first name, phone number, ZIP code if you add it, and whether it's about radon, mold or both) and pass it to an independent local service provider so they can call you.
  • We may also share your request with other service providers who can help, and they may pay us for it. You can tell us not to.

Who we are

tnmoldandradon.com ("we", "us") is an independent information and referral service for Tennessee homeowners. We are not a testing lab or contractor. Phone calls to the number on this site, and call-back requests sent through it, are connected with an independent local service provider.

What information do we collect?

When you fill in a call-back form

  • What you enter: your first name, phone number, optional ZIP code, and your concern (radon, mold or both).
  • Tags we add automatically: the site name, the page you were on and the town or area that page covers (for example, "Rutherford County"), the version of this policy shown next to the form, and whether your browser sent a Global Privacy Control signal.

Please don't include health information or other sensitive details. We don't need them to arrange a call.

When you call

The provider who answers sees your phone number and the time of the call, and hears what you choose to tell them. We do not record calls or use call-tracking numbers today.

When you simply browse

Like every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) receives technical data needed to deliver pages and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We don't use that data to profile you. Your browser also stores one small setting on your device to remember that you closed our privacy notice; see the Cookie Policy.

How do we use it?

  • To arrange the call back you asked for and connect you with someone who can help with radon or mold.
  • To answer questions and follow up on your request.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and keep basic business records.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Who do we share it with?

  • An independent local service provider. We send your request to a local radon and mold company so it can contact you about the service you asked for.
  • Other service providers who may be able to help. We may share your request with other independent radon, mold or home-service providers serving your area, and we may be paid for doing so. Under some state privacy laws, including Tennessee's, that can count as a "sale" of personal information. You can opt out at any time (see below).
  • Companies that run the site for us, such as web hosting and, in future, form-handling or customer-management software. They may use the data only to provide those services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to valid legal requests, and business transfers, if the site is sold or merged.

What choices and rights do you have?

Tennessee residents. The Tennessee Information Protection Act (Tenn. Code Ann. § 47-18-3301 and following, in effect since July 1, 2025) gives Tennessee consumers privacy rights against businesses that meet its size thresholds. Whether or not the Act applies to us, we will honor these requests from Tennessee residents:

  • Confirm whether we hold your personal information, and get a copy of it in a portable format.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information, targeted advertising and profiling. (We don't do targeted advertising or profiling today.)

How to ask: email privacy@tnmoldandradon.com. Tell us your name and the phone number you used so we can find your request. We may need to confirm it's you. We aim to respond within 45 days; if we need more time (up to 45 more days), we'll tell you why.

Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject line. We'll respond to an appeal within 60 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Tennessee Attorney General's office.

Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal when you submit a form, we treat that as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of that request.

We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Phone calls

By sending a form you agree to a phone call about your request. We and our providers will only call about that request. Tell whoever calls, or contact us, if you want the calls to stop.

How long do we keep it?

We keep a call-back request only as long as we need it to connect you and keep basic business and legal records, and then delete it.

How do we protect it?

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, loads no third-party scripts, and limits who can see form data. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information through the form.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, for example by adding analytics or call tracking, we'll update this page and its date first, and we'll ask for your consent before any optional cookies are used. Last updated .
